  2. Have you thought about posting your requests for seeds in some of these gardening forums? There are many, many generous gardeners in these forums who will share their extras with other members for nothing more than a SASE that you need to send to them. I see this happening all the time, especially in the Yahoo forum, called the PLANTSWAP group, where members will share extras for a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE). Also, the group has many members from all climates and zones, including your state.

    If you want to see for yourself, you might check out the forum and post your needs, and see what happens. Here is the link:

    Online gardening groups like these are very useful to home gardeners on a budget because they are based on the premise of sharing with one another, rather than on commercial profit. They are especially useful to people who live in rural areas or in areas that are inaccessible to gardening centers or cities or towns where there is commercial activity. You will see what I mean if you join a few of these….sharing with one another to enhance one another’s gardens is the main goal.
