I just bought a couple pots of herbs. I got rosemary, basil, parsley, and culantro (not cilantro). I read they need alot of light, but I don’t have a south facing window, will an east or west window be sufficient sunlight? Or if anyone knows how many hours of daylight east or west windows get. I have to grow them inside because we our renting the land. Thanks in advance.

This plant is about 3 1/2 feet tall and looks alot like a bush. It blooms in the spring alot like a bleeding heart. Instead the stem of flowers are purple. After the plant blooms it grows seed packets in the shape of a peapod and eventually turns black. It grows in full sun. Any ideas what this is?

My better boy tomatoes are around six feet tall, beautifully green, alot of rather large and some small fruit that will not turn red and they’ve been on the vine approx 1 mth. I live in TN and in middle TN we’ve only had 2 1/2 inches of rain in the last 45 days. I try to water every other day and soaking them at least once a week. I feed them weekly with miracle grow tomato plant food. I have no yellow leaves, no infestations and lots of yellow flowers that have stopped producing tomatoes……any suggestions? This is my first attempt at growing large plants..

I’m aware of a wild plant that has leaves, when boiled down, mashed and made into a salve, stops pain, almost immediately. Grows primarily in midwest to upper midwest states. Any American Indian Healers or herbalists in here? Although white willow and yellow dock and alot of herbs grow like crazy here, ‘numbweed’ cannot be found. It needs the harsh winters and certain soil of those areas. The leaves I believe are broad, almost like fresh turnip leaves, color is between a regular and sage green. When ‘vein’ is broken, it leaks the juice that stings at first then suddenly all feeling is lost in that area. Its used so that the patient can get back to work and not hindered by pain. Supposed to be excellent for arthritis, even the most severe cases.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

What would happen if I sold animal herbs “independently”? Me and my friend Hakim grow Valerian, a relaxant drug. We are gonna try to sale it on our block since there are alot of dog owners. We already gave some to Mr. Crawford. Our stuff is grown with dried roots and then sugar coated so that the dog continues to crave it so the owner keeps coming back for more. Me and Hakim call it names like “pink kiss”, “wet dog”, “trippy”, and “white house”. We grew a trippy plant 3 feet tall.

I am needing some good perninials or a small type flowering bush can you give me some name is some that are for sun and dont require alot of work and are easy to grow?
that don’t require alkaline soils?
But portions of the soil I know will need to be limed for something I want to experiment with growing.
Can the areas ADJACENT to the limed areas have herbs and fruits that would still be “organic”?
