Here is a basic plan of how to make a bell syphon, from Back to roots www.envirocation.org.uk
I planted tomatoes, cucumbers, bush beans, peppers (bell), eggplant, onions, and strawberries along with a few herbs. I covered the eggplant and peppers on the coldest nights. But the cucumbers aren’t looking the greatest and the bean’s leaves look pale. The tomatoes are fine. They just seem to have not grown an inch. We had a really warm day yesterday and I noticed one of the tomato plants has flowers on it already! It’s only 10″ high! This can’t be good, can it? Should I fertilize everything? When I planted I added compost manure to the soil, but I’m not sure this was enough so seeing how stressed the plants were by the cold. I normally don’t fertilize until I start seeing the fruit forming. For the most part the onions look good and so do the strawberries and herbs.
What should I do about the rest? The weather looks warm for here on out. And what’s up with that tomato plant flowering so early?

The plants had blooming flowers and peppers started to grow, then only to disappear. I’ve notice ants on the plants which seem to be healthy plants. What could be the problem?

This is an update for the bell peppers I planted on July 9th, 2009 I failed to fill the reservoir due to being busy and the leaves are wilting. In this video I show the PH level and show EC meter readings as well as a little harvest. Hopefully they will perk up over the next few weeks. Filmed with a Canon Vixia HF20 HD (new toy). Please subscribe, more projects to come!

I am looking for a specific flower that grows more into a bush then just a flower on the ground. They seemed to be very common around the tourist areas.

The flowers remind me of a large Lily of the Valley. The cascade may be about 12″ long. We would like to know the name of the plant if at all possible. It was spotted near the southeastern coast of NC. Thank you.
