I am growing herbs for the first time but am not sure of ways to actually use them. I am not much of a cook but would like to start cooking things that I could use my herbs. I am vegetarian to ideas that involve meat are useless on me. I am growing Thyme, Basil, Parsley, Oregano, and chives. I bought two starter kits so I am going to have A LOT of each and I have no ideas on using them. Any suggestions?

They took statements from each of my employees, my daughter, and myself. I was sleeping at 9AM. Of course, I’m not really good with watching the clock, but I was pretty sure I got up after 9AM, and besides, I knew I didn’t kill the poor guy. My cook, Jack, said he was preparing some breakfast at 9AM, which he always does. He makes a killer omelet. Betsy, the maid, said she was walking the dog and remembers looking at her watch at precisely 9AM as she grabbed the mail from the mailbox, which is a quarter of a mile down the driveway and away from the Ralph’s house. I think she should have a career with animals. I don’t know how she became a maid, but it’s my gain. Carl, the gardner, claims he was planting some new roses at 9ish and doesn’t speak the best English. He grows a mean flower though. Jeeves, (yes the butler). I don’t know if his family gave him that name and so he felt destined to become a butler or he had his name changed – (SEE WHO DID IT AND WHY 3) This will be a 3 for one!

Well i really want to ask this girl out but here is the problem, i would ask her to dinner or something but i cant cook and there is no restraunt close. I would say to a movie or icecream but neither of us can drive alon yet and they are a few miles away. All these places are on busy roads so its not ideal to walk to them either. I want to ask her out but cant think of anything to do or how to. O when i ask her out people said give her a single flower or something well no one grows flowers in my town in the open basically in there backyards where they arent seen and there is no flowershop. I dont want to ask her to just hang out at my house cause my parents are assholes and my house smells from them smoking. We live by lake erie but the beaches are covered with dead fish and trash (not literally) and there is no sand. We don’t really live in the country, but a town off the city of Erie. It is the “rich” part of the county. Can some one give me an ideas on how to ask her/what to do?

Yeah its just a town by pittsburgh, no parks, nothing, just houses and roads, its right by lake erie but the beaches are shitty.
Well it is not in the country its just a small town that makes up i think 5 largest city in pennsylvania. It is the “rich” part of Erie county. The beach has all this trash on it and no sand. The only beaches that are not like that are at the pennisula. and thats in downtown Erie which is about 10-15 miles away.

The site is awesome and from it I purchased a cook book for weeds and herbs (same thing really) which grow commonly around our homes. There is info on how these weeds are beneficial to use as well. Every single recipe I tried this far is awesome. Check out the site, and the book which is inexpensive.

I’m starting a container garden with a north facing patio (cringe). I gave up a southern view for a a skyline what can i say. So anyway i’m a cook, sometimes profesionaly, and wanted to try to grow and then incorperate some edible flowers into my cooking. Does anyone know any that grow well on little sunlight? I’m going to end up putting it in a closet with a sun lamp in the winter by defualt but would like something that didnt become anemic you know?

I would like to grow herbs in tiny flower pots in my kitchen. I just like the way they look, and I love the idea of having fresh herbs for when I cook. I just need some advice on doing it. I was thinking basil, but that’s the only one I can think of. Which ones should I grow? And should I plant seeds or but the herb plants and just plant them? Do I need to put plant feed in the potting soil? Any advice on growing herbs in pots would be helpful. Thanks.
I’m in Ca if that makes any different, and my kitchen gets almost no natural light, so maybe this thing won’t work out?
