Indoor Home Aquaponics Setup Part 3

Indoor Home Aquaponics Setup Part 3

I connected up with Phil Wolf of Wolf Pack Aquaponics and got a few Bluegill from his tanks at We Grow Dreams, and a few worms. Fish took a while to settle in and finally started eating again. This video closes out my series, as the system is now complete. More smaller videos later if there are any interesting developments. In particular, I will continue with the automation and monitoring work.

Is this contemporary story idea too much like Harry Potter?

A girl named Artemis Krisdale lives in a foster home in Austria (not Australia!), and has been adopted many times before but no one will take her because she always makes weird things happen. She’s always had a magical ability, but she’s never really noticed it… but the children at school have, resulting in her becoming the most hated child in school for her natural abilities. One day, her matron tells her she has an appointment to go and meet with Mr and Mrs Sweeting. She goes and meets them and immediately loves them… even when they tell her they’re adopting her not only for her excellent personality, but because she is magical.
She goes to their poor little house/farm in northern Ireland, and discovers that the Sweetings actually already have several children of their own… 8, in fact, along with several other wizard preteens who need looking after from time to time. After explaining that she’ll go to a town just for wizards called Frog Hollow, which is located to the far west coast of Ireland, where she’ll have lessons with a variety of teachers in their own homes/workplaces so she learns magic, she discovers that she’ll need to pay for her own apartment/dorm in the dormitories at Frog Hollow. Mr and Mrs Sweeting then explain that her parents died long ago… that’s why they dropped you off at the orphanage before they died. They left her their entire financial estate.
Artemis decides to go on a walk around the area, and discovers two boys and a girl picking apples in the orchard using broomsticks (they ride on them). The girl comes up and introduces herself to be Annika Sweeting, and that is her brother, Ailis Sweeting, and brother’s friend, Septimus Whoot.

That’s all I have so far. Do you like it? Any story ideas? Any plot ideas? Any help at all would be marvelous!

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON A STORY LINE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!! Thanks

Any ideas on storing home grown cilantro?

I have dehydrated some, hang dried some and none of it retains it’s flavor like dill and other pungent herbs.

We have a 35-40′ tree that looks like sumac, but drops messy, brownish tennis-sized balls! Eastern MA. Ideas?

This tree is growing next to a parking lot by our home and overhangs our backyard enough to be a nuisance. It had flowers earlier in the fall. It has lost all of its leaves. The balls break open and have brownish stuff inside. The squirrles like it, but we don’t! If it is cut down, will it just grow back? There don’t appear to be any others like it in the area. It has been growing for about the last ten years. Hope someone can advise us on what to do with this monster! Thanks!

a question for gardeners?

so i just became a home owner and am excited about this big yard.i think it would be fun to get some things growing. previous owners did a little. there are tulips(which i would like to transplant), sweet peas(not sure if i want to keep those), theres a rose plant but i’m not sure if it’s in too good a shape. and little purple wildflowers(kinda looks like an upside down bunch of grapes on a green stem).some great trees and bushes.
this is what i’m thinking of planting this year:
*veggies: pumpkin, tomato, cucumber
*flowers:flax, poppy,columbine(dragonfly hybrid)
*herbs:mint, lavender,basil
any tips/suggestions?
