I was down in my room
And all I could smell was
This potent skunk perfume
The smell drew me upstairs
It was a big green skunk
With orange and purple hairs
It must have came from outer space
My roommate waved a plastic bag
Of the star dust covered leaf
right in my face
And then he pulled out
A big glass blown tube
That looked like a vase
I sparked the crystal lattice
The white tornado spinning into my lungs
It had a pleasantly nice taste
A mix of grape and pineapple paste
Then we puffed this stuff
That looked liked a white berry
It had me floating in the clouds
Like some sort of magical ferry
Exhale to find your thoughts
drifting on plumes of smoke
A shrubs green leaf
saturated in snow flakes
Give me one more toke
My body felt like a candle
On its way to relax
Melting into a pile
Of hot fluid wax
Even the most dull things
Looked vibrantly zooted
I was worried my mind waves
Would stay convoluted
But my roommate told me
This is naturally organic
Your mind paints lucid paintings
No need to panic
Heck! Did you even know the first US flag
Was threaded from its fabrics
And its roots helped suck up toxins
In Chernobyl
The plants got some darn good tricks
Even GW was an advocate:
“Make the most of the Indian hemp seed
And sow it everywhere”
But our leaders don’t like the environment
And say its buds would cause great despair
