I’m growing tomato’s and they are doing great, but they are only 11″ and they are starting to flower, so I have been picking off the flowers so the plant concentrates on growing. I don’t know if the plants are determinate or inditerminate, how long can I pick off the buds, I’ve done it about 3 times already. When I pick off the buds, they aren’t flowers, I don’t let the plant flower at all. Thanks for the help!

I am trying to grow terrariums in different types of bottles( 1 gallon wiskey bottle) 6 gallon carboy etc) I’m looking for different types of plants that would grow in these containers, and would reallyt like varieties that have flowers, but evergreens will be good also. Thanks, I know already that Baby’s Tears fair well in this type of situation.

They are indoors, but I live in Florida. I have had them a long time, and they were in bloom when I got them and they haven’t bloomed since. They grow new shoots often, but no flowers. I usually kill plants, so I give them credit for surviving. They are dendrobiums, I think. They are growing in wood chunks and moss.

I recently bought a young Sage plant to add to my herb box, which also contains Chives, Thyme, and Parsley. The plants are evenly spaced, planted in fresh potting soil, and the box is well drained. The original three plants are thriving.
According to most gardening sites, young Sage plants should start off in a small cluster of leaves. In time, it should grow into a woody shrub-like plant.
All that being said, my little plant does not look like that. Instead, it has a vine-like appearance. It’s basically one long, thin stem with only a few leaves growing at the top. I’ve debated cutting it down or tying it up with a stake, but I would like to be sure what is best before I take any action.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. And if you need more information from me, please don’t hesitate to ask.

I was just wondering if using neem oil as a pesticide would make the plants that I am growing taste bad to me or just to the Japanese beetles trying to kill them.

i started a small hydroponic system in my greenhouse with an 18 gal tub following a youtube video the system has 12 net pots with half tomatoes (early girl) and half with strawberry’s. the strawberry’s are loving the system but the lower leaves on some of the tomatoes are turning a lite yellow with a pale purple tint what’s wrong with them? Could i have over done the nutrients? Or is it just some disease that followed the plants from the store?

I have a wine barrel Im trying to grow herbs and veggies in and a cat dug up my just sprouted baisel and pooped in the hole last night! I was wondering if there is some type of household something I can use to keep the cats away but not kill my plants!?!?
first of all, i can grow plants inside as well as outside well. my one problem is i can’t keep a poisetta plant alive. it lasts thru the end of january,only dropping leaves. they first turn yellow and drop off. evenually i have a plant with no leaves. i only have flowers and skinny stalks. any ideas to keep it alive? i have a green thumb for everything else. thanks betty boop

You see there are plants. Therefore that is proof that the Green Fairies exist. And these plants and flowers do grow, which is further proof that the Green Fairies exist and do make the plants grow.
After all, you can’t prove that they DON’T exist or don’t make the flowers grow right?

I mean does anyone believe that my claim about the Green Fairies is true? No, of course not. Only the fundamentally stupid would take a story like that at face value. Same thing goes for god or allah.
If you have proof, post it. Think of the fame. You’d be the first person in the history of history to provide such proof. Think of the people you’d save.
