Can I eat herbs which had a stray unknown mushroom growing with them?

I have a natural herbs planter kit that I bought from a local gardener nursery. I thought it would be fun to grow some of my own spices and herbs. The problem is there are some little mushrooms growing in the planter as well. I’m not going to eat the mushrooms, and I have removed them. My question is whether my herbs are safe to eat now that mushrooms were growing along with them in the same soil. The experts at the local gardener nursery have no idea. They are willing to refund me, but I’d really like to just eat the herbs. Does anyone have suggestions?

What flowers can I plant in southern Germany?

I recently moved to southern Germany and I want to plant some flowers on my balcony porch thing. My only problem is that I don’t know what flowers I can grow in this climate at this time of year, nor can I find a website in English (since I don’t speak/read German enough to make any sense of it) that helps me out.

So, what can I grow where I live? I would prefer to plant flowers, but I can go for herbs and other things like that too.

I think I’m in zone 5-6 and want a low maintenance vegetable plot. ideas?

Any good ideas for a low maintenance vegetable plot? I have a 5′ square I’ve got some chive growing in, but is bare other than that. I’m looking for something that will grow while I leave it alone. Weeds have been a problem in the past. I’ve tried rubbarb and tomatoes and herbs. I’d like something growing in there would be ok if I wasn’t home to tend it every week. I do leave it watered with soaker hose on a timer. Any ideas welcome. Thanks you.
