Help with potted bouganvillias for a privacy screen?

I’m in Southern California, and I wanted to grow some potted climbing vines on a trellis to make a privacy wall on my patio. I love bouganvillias so I started there. While they flower often, they are long and spindly instead of full — they’re not providing the privacy screen I wanted. Do pots just limit the roots and therefore the growth of bouganvillias? Is there a trick to helping it grow nice and full, or should I be trying another potted vine that would provide fuller coverage of the trellis?
The pot is pretty big — about 18 inches across. The patio is sunny most of the day, shady in early morning.

How come my Orchid plant hasn’t re-bloomed?

I bought it 1 1/2 years ago and it hasn’t re-bloomed. It is extremely healthy and has grown 4 new leaves. It has these long squiggly things coming up and out from the roots, but it doesn’t look like flower stalks….or is it? How do they bloom and grow those stalks? When should I expect it to bloom again? Would appreciate thorough answers! Thanks!

My orchid has a new leaf group growing off a 6 inch flower stem do I need to divide it?

The main leaves are fine and growing really well but there is a new group of leaves with what looks like roots growing up off the top of a 6 inch tall flower stem. Does this need to be divided or is this normal for an orchid?

looks like a purple 4 leaf clover-what type of plant is this?

I have a houseplant that I have never seen before, don’t know the name of, and would like some information on. The leaves are a dark burgundy/purple color and resemble a four leaf clover. The stems are a pale whitish color and tend to be very long and delicate enough to snap easily if mishandled. I haven’t noticed any flowers or signs that it will flower yet and I have had it for about 2-3 months. It grows fairly rapidly, with additional sprouts coming from under the soil so I am assuming it splits from the roots. It was given to me by my boyfriend’s mother but she doesn’t remember the name either. It seems to be doing ok, though I am a bit concerned that it may need a deeper pot because of the length of the stems-they are at least 3-5 inches long, and as I mentioned, are very delicate and likely to snap. If nothing else I would like to know the name of this lovely plant but if someone could even point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks guys, I found out it was a Purple Oxalis — Oxalis regnellii ‘Atropurpurea’

My plants are turning yellow at the bottom and some are drying out on top yet I am watering them daily. Help!?

These are new flower beds. Dalhias, Day Lillies, Aisian Lillies, Miniature Hollihocks. Even some of my potted plants aren’t quite as full as last year. I thought it might be the water, but, my house plants are doing fine. I put in bags of black dirt and cow manure before planting( one bag of manure for about a 5ftx5ftx5ft bed) The Hollihock was doing great until one day it started to wilt. I tried to dig it up to put it elsewhere and it didn’t have a dirt ball at the roots but the roots looked good(no bugs) the Lillies all grew to about 5to6 inches and stopped growing. They didn’t die, just quit growing. I am at a loss. Can anyone give me any ideas?

What’s the best Clematis to grow in zone 8-9, Easiest, with abundant long flowering period?

My clematis isn’t doing very well. I do keep the roots covered with large pieces of oak bark and/or other plants, and the vine which is climbing up the cyclone fence is in sun for approx 6-8 hrs per day. But it seems to just barely be hanging on. One variety and the unhealthist, is a “will goodwin”, the other only one I have I don’t know the variety but it makes pretty deep purple flowers, and is doing a little better than the W.G. My soil is naturally around 5PH. Should it be raised for clematis, if so with what, besides lime. Also, will the clematis climb up a brick wall? or do you know of any type of flowering plant that will climb a brick wall where it would get only 3-4 hrs of morning sun (east side of house) My thanks. as is, as was, as will be, trickyricky

There is a flower bed that i want to rejuvinate at the base of a fairly large pear tree in my yard. The tree and bed have been neglected for years. now there are significant shoots growing up that will require an axe to radicate. also the bed is fULL of roots! how can i get bulbs in there? So 2 q’s…can i ax out the big sections of root grwoing new trees at teh base, and can i build the soil up a few inches, all w/out hurting the tree? (we have had drought for a couple months, bu it’s raining again – dont know if that has affected the tree…)

my giant aloe is having babies! i’d like to replant them, but i have no experience with aloe reproduction.

i have seen branches at the base of the plant, yet no seperate root system for these “buds”. is it a good idea to carefully snap ‘em off and replant them, or let them sit in water? or maybe they, in time, will shoot out roots like runner plants?

just in case it’ll help, here’s a description of the aloe and its growing conditions….

this aloe is five years old, and has never reproduced before. it is grown in a two-gallon plastic flower pot, and weighs nigh on thirty pounds, at least. (not including the weight of the dirt and pot) it is grown on a shaded balcony with probably… four to five hours of sun every morning, and receives copious watering. it’s soil is a mixture of topsoil, composted cow manure, and miscellaneous composted plant wastes from my garden.
this plant has Never produced flowers.

Dark green color, clusters of 7 leaves, leathery texture, hardy and grows fast and has other vines coming up off of the roots. I would love to find out what this may be and how to care for it properly. It hasn’t flowered yet. Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks!
It was suggestedit was ivy of some sort. It’s not for sure. These are hand sized leaves at their largest.
