I need your expertise on cutting flowers grown in an open field, please?????
I am in south Texas, zone 9, 25 miles inland from the coast (zone 8 begins at least 21/2 hours north of here). We will need 1000 cut flowers the third week of March next year. This is my first year at growing in zone 9…..am going to build up with railroad ties about 1/3 of an acre. Any help with seeds sown now or when?? perennials to bloom in March and bulbs, too….any flower that can be cut the third week of March in this zone….thanks so much….

Scarify to grow?
I’m an amateur gardener and I just read that to help a seed grow it should be scarified. This is what happens to seeds that are eaten by birds as the acid in the birds stomach scars the seed and the seed then is stimulated to grow into a tree (shrub, flower, bush, whatever it inherently is) once it is passed by the bird and lands in the mud.
I immediately thought of tatttoos as healing and humans as seeds who scar themselves to stimulate their own growth so they can reach their full potential as the tree/shrub/flower/bush that they inherently are.
Is this stretching it?
Are tattoos just trendy now and as common as nose piercings?
Does anyone have an organic garden?
I want an organic garden. I am just starting out. Does anyone have any tips – what to read, certain veggies, fruit and herbs to grow and why, where to purchase the seeds or the plant, ect…..?

How long does it take to grow herbs from seeds?
I planted the seeds 7 days (April 2, 2008) ago. How long does it take for the plants to grow fully?
I have Lavender, Lemon Basil, Oregano and Parsley.

I have smoked the herb several times before and love the feeling when i lay down on my bead and meditate so i am looking to buy the plant to grow it for personal use. Can i get it at a nursery? Or if not the plant then the seeds.

Does anyone know how to grow a Coffee tree?
I have a coffee tree at my home, and I had a flowers first time, now the small green fruits are growing.. I would like to let the seeds to grow up when they will be ready…..how long should I wait? will they turn a colour or fall down when they will be matured?I`m not sure if it`s possible.. I`m at Poland, and those trees dont grow outside….IoI. I want to share this beautifull plant with friends.
