It’s called your neighbor is peeing in your garden secretly at night because he is envious of your melons.

  3. As a member of the Cucurbita family, zucchini is susceptible to a variety of bacteria and fungus diseases. Among the most common, are powdery mildew and bacterial wilt. Plant disease problems are most common in hot and humid weather, and especially towards late August as the plant is aging and weakens. Promoting a strong, healthy plant, coupled with fungicide treatment, will help to avoid these problems.

Not knowing where you live leaves a bit of doubt with my answer BUT you can see if it fits. They should have been planted on a mound, very important for drainage as this is a rather wet summer. Don’t water as around here, they are getting more than enough with rain. I live near Toronto

  5. Sounds like blossom end rot. Watch how you water. Never water at night, its the worse thing for all plants since the water just sits all night. Best time to water is in the morning. Zucchini’s do not need daily watering either. Consistency is the key. Do not let them get real dry and then soak them.

  6. I think it might be a blight. You can call your local extension agent and ask they should be able to tell you what you can do for it. You might try planting them in a different area and see if they do better. Don’t use the same thing to work up the ground that you used in your garden. It might be a fungus or something in the soil.

Fome experiance, with my own garden.
